Medical-Grade Skincare Products

Medical-grade skincare products can support concerns including sun protection, discoloration, signs of aging, hydration, acne, and lash growth.

What are medical-grade skincare products?

Medical-grade skincare includes professional and prescription products selected to address specific skin concerns and support an individualized skincare routine. Depending on the product, these options may focus on sun protection, hydration, discoloration, acne, fine lines, wrinkles, or other visible changes in the skin.

Some products can be used as part of a daily routine, while others require a prescription or specific instructions from your provider. They may also complement cosmetic dermatology treatments when appropriate.

What can I expect when choosing skincare products?

Choosing the right products starts with understanding your skin, your current routine, and the concerns you want to address. Your provider can help you determine which products may be appropriate and explain how to incorporate them into your routine.

Instructions vary by product. Some options, including LATISSE®, tretinoin, and certain hydroquinone-containing products, require a prescription. Follow the directions provided with your recommended products and talk with your provider if you have questions about how or when to use them.

Medical-Grade Skincare Products Available

LATISSE®

LATISSE® is a prescription treatment for hypotrichosis, a condition involving inadequate eyelash growth. Applied nightly along the upper eyelid as directed, treatment may help produce longer, fuller, and darker eyelashes. Results are not permanent, so continued treatment is needed to maintain them.

Our selection of Obagi Medical Products includes skincare options for concerns such as discoloration, fine lines, wrinkles, dryness, acne, and sun exposure.

  • Nu-Derm System
The Nu-Derm System is available in options for normal-to-oily and normal-to-dry skin. Depending on the regimen, products may include a cleanser, toner, exfoliating lotion, and products designed to address discoloration.

Clear contains prescription-strength hydroquinone and requires a prescription. Nu-Derm Blender also requires a prescription.

This broad-spectrum sunscreen provides UVA and UVB protection with a matte finish.

  • ELASTIderm
ELASTIderm eye products are available in cream and gel formulations and are designed to improve the appearance of fine lines and support the look of elasticity around the eyes.

Tretinoin Cream is a prescription topical product that may be incorporated into the Nu-Derm System and can be used in the treatment of acne.

EPIONCE®

Epionce® offers physician-strength skincare products formulated with botanical ingredients. Products within the line are designed to support skin health and address concerns such as dryness and visible signs of aging.

Medical-grade skincare products are generally selected to address specific skin concerns and may contain ingredients or formulations intended for use with professional guidance. Some products are available without a prescription, while others require one.

Not always. Many professional skincare products are available without a prescription, but certain products offered at Steele Creek Dermatology, including LATISSE®, tretinoin, and some hydroquinone-containing products, require a prescription.

The right products depend on your skin type, current routine, and the concerns you want to address. Your provider can help you choose products and explain how they should be used as part of your routine.

Some skincare products may complement cosmetic treatments, but the appropriate routine depends on the procedure and your skin. Your provider can explain which products to use before or after treatment and when to resume them.

Yes. We offer several sunscreen options from brands including Obagi, EltaMD, and SkinCeuticals. Available formulations include broad-spectrum, mineral, matte, and daily-use options with different SPF levels.
