CoolPeel Laser

What is CoolPeel Laser?

CoolPeel laser is a non-invasive, fractional CO2 laser treatment designed to improve skin texture, tone, and appearance. It is a minimally invasive procedure that targets the superficial layers of the skin, stimulating collagen production and removing damaged skin cells.

How Does it Work?

CoolPeel laser resurfacing is a state-of-the-art treatment that utilizes fractional CO2 laser technology. Unlike traditional CO2 lasers, which can be quite intense, the Cool Peel method is designed to minimize heat damage to the skin, thereby reducing recovery time. The technique delicately removes the outer layers of damaged skin to reveal smoother, younger-looking skin underneath.

What can CoolPeel be used to Treat?

  • Fine lines and wrinkles
  • Acne scarring
  • Enlarged pores
  • Sun damage
  • Uneven skin tone

What can I Expect from a CoolPeel Laser Skin Treatment?

The treatment typically takes 15-20 minutes. A topical anesthetic is applied to the skin, and then the CoolPeel laser delivers fractional CO2 laser pulses to the treatment area. The laser precisely targets damaged skin cells, leaving healthy tissue unaffected. The skin will feel hot for 1-2 hours post treatment and appear pink or red for 2-4 days. Mild swelling, sensitivity and flaking after 4-5 is also expected. Visible improvements in skin texture and tone can be seen within a few weeks, with continued improvement over time. Multiple treatments may be recommended for optimal results.

Am I a Candidate for CoolPeel Laser Treatments?

CoolPeel works best for people with light to medium skin tones who have wrinkles, fine lines, or uneven skin. If you have very dark or super sensitive skin, it might not be the best fit.
Contraindications for the CoolPeel laser include pregnancy or nursing, active infections like herpes simplex or severe acne, uncontrolled diabetes, and a history of conditions that impair healing like autoimmune diseases or keloid scarring. Patients taking oral isotretinoin within the last 6-12 months or photosensitizing medications are also contraindicated, along with recent use of other laser treatments, chemical peels, or specific supplements and medications.
